A workshop day

Nobody moves on until today’s material is understood.
1 Daily

Live lesson

Concepts first, then exam-style problems with an IB specialist.

2 Daily

Supervised study

Homework in a Zoom study room, with a TA on hand for questions.

3 Twice a week

1:1 check

The student explains it back to a TA; gaps are re-taught the same day.

Small groups

Small enough for every student to be seen

With eight students at most, the teacher knows where each one is stuck and the lesson moves at the pace of the class in front of them, not a lecture hall. HL and SL are taught as separate classes, so the depth matches the paper your child will sit.
  • Every lesson recorded and available for 30 days
  • Lesson slides, notes and problem sets shared in Google Classroom

Every Friday

Progress you can see each week

The week ends with a supervised, past-paper-style test. Students get their marks and feedback in Google Classroom; parents get a report showing homework and test scores against the class average, with the teacher’s comments.
  • Below target: a dedicated TA works through the gaps, then a retest
  • About an hour of homework three times a week, all marked

Recent IB graduates, at your child’s side

Supervised study and the 1:1 checks are run by TAs who sat the IB themselves recently and scored highly, so they know exactly where students get stuck. During the workshop, students can also join mentoring sessions with IB alumni on study habits and university.
  • Questions answered while the homework is being done, not the next week
  • Mentoring by IB alumni, during holiday workshops only

Common questions

Yes. Every lesson is recorded and stays available for 30 days, so a student who can’t join live doesn’t miss the content.

Below target on the Friday test, a dedicated TA works through the gaps with your child and sets a retest. Questions get answered during supervised study the same day, not the next week.

No. Summer builds the next year in advance and winter finishes Year 1, so most students come to get ahead. Closing gaps from the last term is the other job.
